It's a free event.

When you come aboard the USS Midway for our ceremony, you will not be charged admission to the Museum. As part of our agreement with the Museum, you are eligible to tour the Museum after our ceremony is completed.

Check-in first.

On arrival, please check-in with the Midway Safety Team member (red cap).

You should board via brow #1. If you require boarding assistance, you may board via the passenger elevator at the main entrance via brow #3. The safety officer will instruct you to board via the quarterdeck, and once aboard, you can proceed to the flight deck for our ceremony.

Passenger elevators operate from the pier to the hangar deck and from the hangar deck to the flight deck. Wheelchairs are available on a first come basis and may be collected on the pier or from the Visitor Information Center on the hangar deck.

Plan for public parking and sunshine.

Arrive 30 minutes early to secure parking. Public parking is available on Navy Pier at a rate of $10 for up to 12 hours (fees are subject to change by the Unified Port of San Diego).

Wear a hat and bring sunblock - come prepared for a sunny day. Learn more about preparing for this event by visiting the Know Before You Go page on the Midway's website: https://www.midway.org/visit/know-before-you-go.

Come prepared for event photos.

The USS Midway Museum reserves the right to photograph events aboard Midway for museum marketing purposes, and you will likely be photographed by both the Museum Staff and volunteers for The Price of Freedom Foundation.

We can't wait to see you! Be sure to stay up to date on event news, photos, and media by returning to our website prior to and after the event.
